It was May 2017 when I took the challenge of climbing and exploring the famous – Masungi Georeserve with some of my colleagues. It took us 5 months after the reservation to finally complete the adventure.
In order to visit this sanctuary, a group of 8 – 10 people should file a reservation first because most of the time, weekends are fully booked.
Before the start of the trail, this cutie welcome me and my colleagues. Looks inviting!
Every visitors must wear a helmet. This is for safety procedures as we are going to enter a rocky trail. You can pick any of the helmets to use. Of course, I chose the orange one! 😉
Aside from the rockies, the trees, flowers and heat, expect several hanging bridges along the trail. Which makes this adventure more exciting. Hanging bridge is one of the many things I enjoy in life. So this is an advantage to me! Haha
My travel buddy, Duturtle enjoys Masungi Georeserve as much as I do.
I’ve mentioned that there will be flowers along the trail right? Here are some of them! I love capturing beautiful blooms when I travel or when I do extreme adventures. Yeah, I find Masungi Georeserve as an extreme one.
Up for something this long?
Well, I AM!
Specially with my orange helmet keeping me safe. Haha!
Two things: (1) I am third-wheeling. (2) Sorry for my butt.
The guide told me and the team to enjoy the moment. Close our eyes, stop talking and listen to the nature – speaking to us. Despite of the heat coming directly from the sun, we did as we told. And it was perfect. Especially when you are above the ground, in a net of a hanging bridge.
One of the things that caught people’s attention to Masungi Georeserve is the Spider-Web along the trail. It is high, kinda dangerous but fun, and not for the faint of heart.
This is me, enjoying the spider web even for the nick of time because more people are awaiting for their turn.
For Masungi Georeserve experience – I would rate it as 5/5. Kind facilitators, nicer tour guide, delicious merienda meal after the tiring expedition, clean place, relaxing ambiance, and a lot more. And as much as I want to endorse this place, IT IS FOR YOU TO FIND OUT to know how enjoyable this is. Perhaps, I’ll just give you two thumbs up!
If you’re looking for a sidetrip, you can visit Palo Alto Falls.
