Photo Diary: Masungi Georeserve Adventure

photo diary masungi georeserve adventure

It was May 2017 when I took the challenge of climbing and exploring the famous – Masungi Georeserve with some of my colleagues. It took us 5 months after the reservation to finally complete the adventure.

In order to visit this sanctuary, a group of 8 – 10 people should file a reservation first because most of the time, weekends are fully booked.

Before the start of the trail, this cutie welcome me and my colleagues. Looks inviting!

Every visitors must wear a helmet. This is for safety procedures as we are going to enter a rocky trail. You can pick any of the helmets to use. Of course, I chose the orange one! 😉

Aside from the rockies, the trees, flowers and heat, expect several hanging bridges along the trail. Which makes this adventure more exciting. Hanging bridge is one of the many things I enjoy in life. So this is an advantage to me! Haha

My travel buddy, Duturtle enjoys Masungi Georeserve as much as I do.

I’ve mentioned that there will be flowers along the trail right? Here are some of them! I love capturing beautiful blooms when I travel or when I do extreme adventures. Yeah, I find Masungi Georeserve as an extreme one.

Two things: (1) I am third-wheeling. (2) Sorry for my butt.

The guide told me and the team to enjoy the moment. Close our eyes, stop talking and listen to the nature – speaking to us. Despite of the heat coming directly from the sun, we did as we told. And it was perfect. Especially when you are above the ground, in a net of a hanging bridge.

One of the things that caught people’s attention to Masungi Georeserve is the Spider-Web along the trail. It is high, kinda dangerous but fun, and not for the faint of heart.

This is me, enjoying the spider web even for the nick of time because more people are awaiting for their turn.

For Masungi Georeserve experience – I would rate it as 5/5. Kind facilitators, nicer tour guide, delicious merienda meal after the tiring expedition, clean place, relaxing ambiance, and a lot more. And as much as I want to endorse this place, IT IS FOR YOU TO FIND OUT to know how enjoyable this is. 🙂 Perhaps, I’ll just give you two thumbs up!

  1. This looks like so much fun! Like a great big obstacle course for adults. Certainly not an experience that comes to mind when someone says ‘The Phillippines’.

  2. I love the way you had the sang froid to capture all those beautiful pictures while en route to the high ropes. The spider’s web and the rope bridges in particular are spectacular, especially in contrast to the stunning flowers. If I wasn’t quite so scared of heights I think I’d have been more tempted to try something similar, but instead, I enjoyed experiencing it through your camera without the fear.

    1. That is so sweet @disqus_LtvkWqsRZW:disqus 🙂 Thanks! I almost forgot to capture all of this because I enjoyed being on top with the ropes. The feeling of excitement is so cool 🙂

  3. This looks like so much fun! Like a big obstacle course for grown ups. I wouldn’t have thought to do something like that in The Philippines!

  4. Wow, that is quite a trek with the rope bridges and spider webs. I like that the guides allowed you to sit and enjoy the moment. Thank you for the write-up.

  5. Hiya, I am really glad I have found this information. Nowadays bloggers publish just about gossips and web and this is really frustrating. A good website with exciting content, this is what I need. Thank you for keeping this website, I’ll be visiting it. Do you do newsletters? Cant find it.

  6. An impressive share, I simply given this onto a colleague who was doing a little bit evaluation on this. And he in truth purchased me breakfast because I found it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! However yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I really feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If attainable, as you turn out to be expertise, would you mind updating your blog with extra particulars? It is extremely useful for me. Huge thumb up for this blog publish!
